Election Judges should contact us to
schedule a class for their Election Workers.
Once you receive training, you don't have
to do training again for a year, unless there
are election law changes or procedure
changes from the Secretary of State.

Online training through the Texas Secretary of State

Upon completing the courses, you will be able to print a certificate indicating that you have completed the Secretary of State’s training. Poll watchers who complete the Poll Watcher Training must present their certificate of completion to the presiding judge at the polling place in order to be accepted as a poll watcher.

Issued by the SECRETARY OF STATE ELECTIONS DIVISION. Updated on January 2022. This “Poll Watcher’s Guide” has been designed to familiarize poll watchers with their basic rights and responsibilities. The integrity of elections is a concern of all citizens, and although poll watchers may represent particular candidates, political parties, or specific-purpose political action committees, their main interest is in the conduct of a fair and honest election.
